External column cladding for the One and Only Hotel

On the One and Only Hotel project in Cape Town, Decolite lightweight profiles were designed to replace concrete elements intended for the external detailing. The Sun International flagship in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town, is a well-known landmark and tourist destination. The elevations were enhanced by making use of Decolite custom made profiles to simulate the non-structural requirements of the concrete sills and columns.

Decolite Columns

The main entrance to the hotel forms the backdrop to the 9m high Decolite column cladding. The custom-made cladding columns, fabricated in 2 halves, allow for definition to the supporting concrete columns.
