COLUMN TO BOARDROOM
A feature detail custom made column was to be the focus of the boardroom for this new office suite in the Radisson Blu hotel Gautrain, in Sandton.
Situated opposite the Gautrain, the offices were superbly placed for ease of access and world-class views of Sandton. The main boardroom housed a support column which the designer opted to create a feature detail making use of Decolite lightweight material.
In this case, the chamfers to the column were hand-carved and then sanded to form the final shapes.
The column was then installed on-site, whereafter the external face was coated with metallic paint.
Due to the fact that designing with Decolite allows for complete freedom, any shape or combination of shapes is achievable.
