3Gx Casing

The 3Gx system which forms the casing of the STANDARD, as well as the FIRE RESISTANT system, was developed as a lightweight yet strong and wear resistant barrier that will not rot, or deteriorate, under exposure to the elements.

The system has been tested for its fire resistant properties and carries a A2-s1, d0 fire rating issued by the locally accredited IGNIS Testing authority.

3Gx is locally manufactured with a small proportion of imported components.

The system is applied under pressure to the EPS forms, or moulds, and contains no toxic substances in its uncured, as well as its cured forms.

Curing takes place through an exothermic process which can be altered to accommodate variable climatic conditions at the time of manufacture, with normal curing times being 24 hours.

Elements are mechanically abraded after curing to achieve the required surface finish, prior to final surface treatment.

The simulated concrete finish employs pigmentation of the 3Gx during mixing of the raw materials, and may therefore exhibit colour variances between panels which would be the case in standard cast concrete.
